Definitely a very good introduction to Go, and was relatively easy to follow along. Going from here, the one thing I've learned is that if you don't know how to use interfaces intimately, then you don't really understand Go all that well. This is a good leap off point for people who need to understand some of the basics, but more knowledge is necessary to be proficient.I was able to read through and understand this book in only a couple of days. If you simply need to be able to read and Go code and follow along, or are curious, then I would highly recommend this book. If you're interested in coding in Go, then I would suggest giving this book a whirl, and then start looking into other books and sites such as:

An Introduction to Programming in Go Caleb Doxsey 9781478355823 Books Reviews
Easy read just the basics to get you stared. If you already know programming languages like Python, Perl, Java or C this will be an easy read.
I love it. It is an incredible short book but it goes direct to the point.
It is well structured and it is easy to follow step by step.
It explains a small subset of the language with great examples and clarity.
Great introduction to core syntax and concepts. I appreciated the order of concept introduction. Obviously as a brief intro this is not sufficient as a reference book, but it should be enough to whet your appetite for more.
This entire text is available online for free. I read it online. I was so happy to find such a short but concise introduction, that I bought the book for reference and to support the author's efforts.
This will not get you remotely close to sufficient, but it will get your started with Go in an easily digestible manner and minimal amount of time and effort. 5 stars. Start here on your Golang journey and then progress on to the more typically staid, deeper sources.
I started Go programming with free version of this book on the Internet.
And it was such a good introduction to Go programming language.
And Go is my primary language now.
I just wanted to pay back for the author opening door for Go programming.
Thank you.
(Introduction to Programing) in Go, or Go For Babies. It's a great bootstrap for people with little prior experience in programming, but you need more to truly understand how Go works, and thankfully there is more on the Web. I recommend that you have the Go spec in hand while reading this to better understand how Go's syntax and semantics work, and also watch the Go Concurrency Patterns talk by Rob Pike when you're finished.
This is a great overview for beginning programmers to get an idea how to use Go. It reviews types, declaring variables, slices, maps, concurrency, packages, and a 10,000 foot view of testing and core packages. If you are a beginner at programming, you should be able to create some simple programs by the time you finish this book, but will need to move on to other books (and tutorials from the Go website) to grasp more subtle aspects of the language and workspace.
Overall, a good introduction before moving into more in-depth information sources, I recommend it for people curious about Go with a little bit of programming background. People familiar with programming languages may wish to skip to something more advanced.
